DigiCert Secure Site Wildcard SSL is organisation-validated coverage for first-level subdomains of one base (*.example.com). It avoids a certificate per subdomain while keeping the Secure Site seal. Nested hosts (a.b.example.com) are not covered by a single-level wildcard. This is not DV even if a cache row says minutes.
