FireCuda X Vault is Seagate’s high-capacity external gaming vault for PC players and streamers who need room without another wall wart. One USB-C cable carries data and power, RGB syncs with Windows Dynamic Lighting, and the chassis is certified for Xbox on PC, with Rescue Data Recovery cover where Seagate offers the service.
Specifications10 technical details
Pure gaming freedom
Bus-powered USB-C means the Vault travels with one cable — no separate power brick on the desk.
Plug & play
Connect once and start moving libraries, clips, and project folders without a setup marathon.
Style & substance
A bold Space Gray shell with lighting you can tune — backed by Seagate’s gaming-drive reliability story.
Light check
Customizable RGB and Windows Dynamic Lighting keep the Vault in sync with the rest of the rig.
Mood lighting
Ambient effects can follow supported games or desktop themes so the storage looks like part of the build.
Massive capacity
8 TB or 20 TB gives streamers and collectors room for installs, captures, and unfinished edits.
Off-the-wall convenience
FireCuda X Vault is a desktop-class external HDD that still runs from a single USB-C link. Park oversized libraries beside the PC, then unplug and move the vault when the desk — or the LAN party — changes.
Ready for day-one drops
Certified for Xbox on PC so the drive fits Microsoft’s PC gaming stack. Eligible kits may include a one-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC trial for new subscribers¹ — useful when you want to try launches without juggling internal SSD space.
Creative Cloud head start
Select retail bundles include a two-month Adobe Creative Cloud plan² so editors can cut highlight reels and thumbnails on the same desk that holds the footage vault.
Rescue when files vanish
Smart backup tooling plus Rescue Data Recovery Services³ (where offered) give an extra safety net for irreplaceable captures and project archives.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC offers are typically for new subscribers and do not stack on existing memberships. We confirm current promotions on your quote.
- Adobe Creative Cloud bundle terms apply — see Seagate’s Adobe offer page for eligibility and duration.
- Rescue Data Recovery Services are not available in every country. Coverage is confirmed when we quote.
3-year limited manufacturer warranty (regional terms may vary); Rescue Data Recovery Services where available.

Frequently asked questions
Does FireCuda X Vault need a power adapter?
No wall brick is required for normal use. It draws power over USB-C. Your host port should supply enough bus power (guides often cite about 15 W or more on capable USB-C ports).
Is it meant for installing and launching AAA titles?
It is a high-capacity hard drive for libraries, captures, and archives. Many modern games still prefer an internal SSD for load times; use the Vault to park titles and media you are not actively playing.
What is included with the drive?
The drive, a short USB-C cable, and a quick start guide. Regional retail kits may also include time-limited Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC and Adobe Creative Cloud offers for eligible new subscribers.
Can I sync the RGB with my PC?
Yes, customizable RGB plus Windows Dynamic Lighting support let lighting follow supported game or desktop themes.
Which capacities can I quote?
We list 8 TB (STNL8000400) and 20 TB (STNL20000400) in Space Gray. Confirm live availability when you post a requirement.
